Trombone Choir
Trombone Octet/Choir - Tom Brantley, conductor

Each term, trombone students audition for placement in one of these
select ensembles. Some semesters, we may have a large mass trombone choir.
Other semesters, we may have a smaller trombone octet (8 students - 4
tenors, 4 bass). Some semesters we may offer both. These groups perform
traditional trombone choir repertoire as well as new pieces composed
specifically for the USF ensembles. We have several new commissioned works
to include in future performances, and the groups occasionally record these
pieces as time/budget allow. We also establish trombone quartets and trios
for the purposes of rehearsing and performing new/traditional repertoire for
trombone ensembles.
